Overall

Pregnancy rate is the number of pregnancies including live births, still births and therapeutic abortions per 1,000 women per year. The number of live births per 1,000 women is the fertility rate. The birth data on this page are from the Discharge Abstract Database (DAD) and represent hospital births only. Therapeutic abortion data come from the Therapeutic Abortion Summary.
