Risk Factor Reports

The Ontario Public Health Standards (OPHS) requires that health units conduct surveillance and use surveillance data to communicate risks to relevant audiences. Health units are also required to make surveillance data available to key stakeholders and the general public. The Rapid Risk Factor Surveillance System (RRFSS) is a key source of behavioural risk factor surveillance data for many health units across Ontario. These short topical summary reports are a snapshot of some of the data that is available in RRFSS. The health unit also uses the data collected in RRFSS for other reports and presentations, advocacy for key public health issues and for program planning and evaluation.
