Reportable Disease Reports
The Communicable Disease Surveillance Unit at the health unit performs ongoing surveillance of infectious diseases. We depend on disease reporting from health care practitioners, laboratory results, and our active surveillance to detect disease clusters and outbreaks. This annual surveillance report provides health care practitioners with a snapshot of selected reportable diseases in Simcoe Muskoka to improve clinical decision making, patient care, and detection of unusual clusters.
