Tobacco Policy Test shopping and compliance and enforcement inspections of tobacco retailers have been strongly supported by the residents of Simcoe Muskoka as a means of keeping tobacco products out of the hands of youth. Under the Smoke-Free Ontario Act (SFOA) it is illegal to sell or supply tobacco to anyone under the age of 19 years.
The vast majority of Simcoe Muskoka adults (18+ years) agree that smoking should be banned in all enclosed workplaces and public places in Ontario.
